About Us

Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department was originally started in a building beside the Wolcott Store and then it was moved to its new location on School Street in 1976.

WVFD operates as a 501c3 as a volunteer fire department. Our primary response  area is 39.2 square miles with a population of 1,670.

WVFD is an all volunteer department and our volunteers are the key to our success and service to the residents of Wolcott and neighboring towns who we provide mutual aid to.

Each year WVFD responds to approximately 50 calls for fire protection and medical.
